About Atlas Stitch
Atlas Stitch is a small set of free size converters for clothes, shoes, rings and bras, made for anyone buying across borders: from a shop abroad, a second-hand listing, or a brand that only prints one country's sizes.
How it works
Every converter runs in your browser. The size tables and formulas are part of the page, so once it has loaded the tools keep working offline and nothing you type is sent to a server. The size book on the measurement guide is saved only in your browser's local storage.
Why the measurements are shown
Size labels are conventions, not measurements, and brands drift. Each result therefore shows the body measurements or the foot, finger and ring dimensions behind the size, taken from a named standard where one exists: EN 13402 and ISO 8559 for clothing, JIS L 4005 and GB/T 1335 for Japanese and Chinese labels, ISO/TS 19407 and ISO 9407 for shoes, ISO 8653 for rings, and EN 13402 and JIS L 4006 for bras. Each page lists its sources.
What it cannot do
No chart knows how a particular brand cuts. When a shop publishes its own size chart in centimetres or inches, compare your measurements with that chart first and use Atlas Stitch to translate between systems.
